Max J. Paul | Probate and Real Estate Law Attorney

Max J. Paul was a licensed professional engineer before making the career change to law. He attended law school during the evening while continuing to work full time as an engineer.

He began his legal career representing the working poor for Legal Services entities in New York City, where he managed the defense of over 500 summary proceedings from the pleading stage forward for the largest municipal employee union in New York.

His duties included extensive settlement negotiations, motion practice with oral argument, and trial practice.  He successfully argued before the Appellate Term, Second Department.

Max then represented some of New York City’s larger landlords, handling their tenant litigation. Max represented landlords in prosecution of summary proceedings including nonpayment and holdover cases both residential and commercial.

He negotiated buy-out agreements, leases, and settlement agreements on a daily basis. He defended landlords from claims brought by tenants in civil, small claims, and administrative proceedings.

Max relocated to Florida with his wife after they decided South Florida was a preferable location to raise a family. He joined a small firm in Delray Beach, where he negotiated and closed a wide variety of real estate matters including lease, mortgage, and purchase transactions, both residential and commercial.

He also handled probate matters, prepared numerous estate plans including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, and handled a wide variety of real estate related litigation matters including quiet title and foreclosure actions. His firm provides counsel and legal support using a wide range of estate planning tools.
